Putting Educational Innovations into Practice.

We need to develop a set of keywords to use for objects and resources submitted. One priority is to code submissions by KASA category addressed. We could do this by the actual KASA number and include a file with reference to the ASHA standard as listed on the KASA...Other ideas on that? Also, post suggestions for keywords here.

I drafted an idea for how to use the speech pathology KASA standards as keywords to facilitate searching by KASA standard. This just basically takes the KASA form and turns it into an outline of headings that can be used as keywords. Having a consistent key word plan should facilitate successful search and retrieval, to the extent it is used and/or judged useful. Please critique and make suggestions.

Based on our last conference call, we agreed to use the top level KASA keyword coding as the minimum for how people code their submissions. Each submission should be first coded by KASA standard, then other keywords may be added after the KASA sequence as desired by the submitter. For the KASA keyword sequence, include the number and short name (noted below) of the standard. Here is my recommendation for the keywords:
--------------------------------------------------
kasa, IIIA, foundations
kasa, IIIB, basic processes
kasa, IIIC, nature of
kasa, IIID, principles & methods
kasa, IVG, evaluation
kasa, IVG, intervention
kasa, IVG, interaction
