Grassi said…: I was mentioning to Dawn Giannoni that I am increasingly devoting additional time to the study of critical discourse analysis within web environments. My interest in this area stems from having conducted lit searches and noticing scant literature on this emerging phenomena. It will also be the topic for my doctoral dissertation which I hope to defend in another three years or so. From a broader stance, I've been fascinated with web 2.0 and social media for quite some time, and zeroing-in on the dynamics of digital discourse became a logical outgrowth of my broader interests.
